冈纬路堂始建于1917年，坐落在天津市河北区冈纬路27号，原属美国公理会教堂,美国公理会是第一个传入天津的基督教差会。1860年美国牧师柏亨利来津，先在东门外娘娘宫创立教会，1862年迁至仓门口，除教会外又成立小书房。1867年又迁至紫竹林（大沽路）1906年美国公理会牧师山嘉利为了日益发展的传教工作的需要，将教会及所属男女书房迁址新购置的西沽龙王庙。并将紫竹林房地产出售给法国工部局，用所得的款项，在西沽扩充教会和学校，1910年将男女书房更名为究真、仰山学校。此后，公里会的活动中心移到西沽。因西沽偏僻，于1917年在河北区冈纬路6号购买地基，建立教堂。1931年又购买冈纬路15号，兴工建筑礼拜堂与平房。1935年由冈纬路6号迁至现址。冈纬路堂及附属建筑共39亩，计有教堂一座，牧师住宅75间，瓦房33间。 冈纬路教堂曾为天津中华基督教公理会的中心，原称天津基督教公理会众议会（教区）。隶属华北基督联合会和天津基督教联合会。在教务活动方面，曾设有执事会（每两周一次），还有晨更会、查经会和主日学。此外，还有妇女会，儿童补习班和青年学习生产班等活动。1949年霍培修为主任牧师，执事会主席为舒炳震。二十世纪四十年代有信徒120人，五十年代初有信徒50余人。 1958年天津教会实行联合礼拜，冈纬路堂成为当时四座教会之一。1966年“文化大革命”中，教会被迫停止活动，教堂受到损坏，被街办工厂占用。1991年教堂被收回修复，1993年圣诞节恢复聚会。 冈纬路堂现任主任牧师为陈思竹。
The Brief Introduction of Gang-Wei-Lu Church The Gang-Wei-Lu Church is located at No.27 Gang-Wei-Lu，Hebei district,Tianjin. Originally it was subordinated to the American Board Mission，the first Christian Mission that have spread in Tianjin. In 1860, the American Pastor，Rev. Henry BIodget came to Tianjin, at first，he founded the church at Niang-niang-Gong (the goddess temple)，outside the East Gate of Tianjin Old Township. In 1862，the church moved to Cang-Men-Kou inside the area of the old township，meanwhile，a small library had also been founded. In 1867, it was moved again to the Purple Bamboo Grove (DaKu-Lu Road).In 1906， Rev.C.A.Stanley from the American Board Mission，moved the Church and the attached two studies(for men and women respectively)to the newly bought plot at Long Wang Miao(temple of sea god)Xigu, because of the increasing need of the preaching work. He sold the plot of Zi-Zu-Lin (Pulple Bambao Grove ) to French Municipal Council and used the funds to expand the church and the schools at Xigu. In 1910，the two studies changed their name to Jiuzhen school, and Yangshan school; so Xigu became the center of American Board Mission .Later it was found that Xigu was too remote then, so in 1917， the church purchased the plot of No.6 at Gang-Wei-Lu (which is the present location of Gang-Wei-Lu Church), and a church and its attached buildings was constructed, which occupied an area of 39 mu totally, including the main church building,75 rooms for pastors’ residence, and 33 tiled-roof houses. The Gang-Wei-Lu Church has been the center of Tianjin Congregational Diocese in terms of the religious activity，there had been the deacon's meeting and the Morning service, Bible Study and the Sunday school. Besides，there were women's gathering, children's make-up class, and the production skill learning class for the youth and so on. Rev. Huo Pei-Xiu was the senior pastor in 1949, the chairman of deacon's meeting then was Mr. Shu Bing-Zhen. In the Forties of the last century, there were 120 believers, and at the beginning of Fifties there were about 50 believers. In 1958，the churches in TianJin were unified, and Gang-Wei-Lu Church became one of the 4 churches of that time. In 1966．during the so called Cultural Revolution the church was destroyed，all activities were forced to be stopped, the church was occupied and used by a local factory of the neighborhood community as their workshops. Thank God in 1991，Gang-Wei-Lu church was taken back and repaired. It was re-opened to religious service on the Christmas of 1993. The present pastor in charge is the Chen Si-zhu.
